Was just thinking... If you could walk up to a KFC everyday at any time and get as much chicken as you can carry...
1) Would u go and pay £7 for Zuze Fried Chicke across the road?
2) Wouldn't u eventually get sick to death of KFC?
3) would u ever "for the love" offer to pay KFC for the chicken u can get free?
Bare with me peeps... I just happened to be on isohunt.com and noticed the Timbaland Discography weighing in at about 7Gbs at 320kbs spanning his whole carrier... Now, as a man who appriciates Timbaland, I was shocked (upon reflection) how quickly I didn't even bother to download it and moved to the next porn site I could think of. I mean, I could have had the whole lot in less that a few hours on the iPod ready to spin, but I honestly couldn't be fucked!
I'm totally aware that considering my schedule... working, wife, kids, friends etc, I wouldn't ever really get the time to listen to the shit and in this day an age of short attention spans and instant gratification, I couldn't be asked to wait a few hours for a mega 7GB download even if its Timbo!
I remember when I first got "BT Highway" which was 128kbs speed ADSL (meaning u could use the internet at 64kbs and make a call on the other line at the same time). These where the Napster/Winmx/AudioGalaxy days, and i swear I was CONSTANTLY downloading shit.
Now, I've had too much chicken (confused... look at e.g above)... The music is too readily available and its pretty much worthless to me. Now as a man would dabbles in "releasing" music, its kinda funny coz I know that most people who are "Download Saturated" are normally the ones that we "Target" to buy our "Shit"... people like "Us" therefore become the proverbial "Zuze fried chicken"... trying to charge for chicken, when people won't even bother taking it free from KFC.
With the "Fruity loops" and "PC mics" pretty much anyone can now open up a "Zuze fried Chicken", by default... the instinct is to follow the model and try and first Give chicken away as a sample for the "STREETS", hoping we are tasty enough to gurantee a potential future "Sale"... its pretty misguided bullshit, I know. Nothing is worse than a sellers market!!
I guess the way would either to make even tastier chicken than KFC... and become a Nando's... or just say "fuck it" and try sell Sadza instead...
