'Takabva neko kumhunga hakuna ipwa'. The phrase you are most likely to find on the tounges of the elders in Zimbabwe. They feel there is little that anybody can do to make a difference in the fortunes of the country. They feel trapped with no exit in sight, mired in 'learned helplessness' a state in which repeated failure to get out of a difficult situation teach people not even to try.
One thing they don't seem to realise is that 'Mhunga iriko, Ipwa ndopasina'. The fact that you can not find a quick fix (Ipwa) to your problem should not spell the end of your ambitions. (Mhunga) The longer route which requires discipline, commitment and patience is not easy but you will find that the rewards outweighs 'Ipwa' by far. Fewer people are brave enough to take that narrow path.
Great Zimbabwe was not built by cowards, rise up and take your place in rebuilding the mother land. Bata yako ndima.
